Jim Hendrix

Back to all things sculptural. Finished the modelling of a life size sculpt of Jimi Hendrix yesterday and quite pleased with the outcome after much grinding and gnasshing of teeth. I will most likely mould him in silicone rubber and cast him in mmmmmmm not decided yet??
Have begun designing a continuous figure of eight knot comprised of plastic bottles :an exploration of rotational symmetry ,transformation, and congruence in shapes this was part of a pitch I did this morning for a workshop in a local school the remit being sculpture interpreted through maths.
This afternoon I spent creating a giant snail (my first) using black maul willow (salix triandra) with a group of volunteers at Shirley Warren Community Garden...watch this space
